Jo Øverås showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Pelle Anundsson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Scarlet Speedster's Romário Pinheiro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Fausto Mendonça took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jo Øverås to make any attempt to save it. The Daustad fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Daustad's Mats Bentsen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 34 minutes Scarlet Speedster's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mats Bentsen who took care of the corner kick. A sloppy throw-in by Romário Pinheiro in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Daustad's Mats Bentsen. Fausto Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jo Øverås having to make a save. Daustad's Jo Øverås proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Daustad from getting a goal against them. Scarlet Speedster's Romário Pinheiro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pelle Anundsson, made in the 41st minute of the game. The supporters of Scarlet Speedster booed when Daustad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigurd Storhaug didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scarlet Speedster's Christiano Fonseca was substituted for Romário Pinheiro. A collision led to Daustad getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Sigurd Storhaug hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Mendonça in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jo Øverås prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Fausto Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scarlet Speedster's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jo Øverås breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fausto Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. Fausto Mendonça's late challenge caught a Daustad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bonet in the 53rd minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Bonet in the 67th minute of play. With a little luck, Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença got control of the ball when Mieszko Pilsudski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Naldo Proença made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Mieszko Pilsudski sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute of the match Daustad got a corner. In the 85th minute of the match Edward Krzynowek sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jo Øverås skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Jens-Ove Eriksson hit a great ball. Scarlet Speedster's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
