The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Sparta FC got a freekick which was hit by Gery Mujahidin. 5 minutes into the match, Ponirin Sarwono had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Necmi Ötüken. 808Watt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ponirin Sarwono was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Necmi Ötüken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gery Mujahidin in the 8th minute of play. Songurbey Tulunay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Syauqi Manusama having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Gündüz Gerdaneri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 808Watt and the Sparta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 19 minutes into the game, Ponirin Sarwono cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Necmi Ötüken was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Sparta FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jeffry Tampubolon hit a great ball. After 24 minutes of play 808Watt's Gündüz Gerdaneri was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 25th match minute, 808Watt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gündüz Gerdaneri to maneuver through the defense. Necmi Ötüken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ibing Simanjuntak in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Sparta FC booed when 808Watt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cengiz Yalap didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Ponirin Sarwono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 808Watt's Necmi Ötüken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gery Mujahidin in the 31st minute of play. Necmi Ötüken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ponirin Sarwono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Songurbey Tulunay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Syauqi Manusama having to interfere. Syauqi Manusama made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Songurbey Tulunay sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Sparta FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Songurbey Tulunay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Necmi Ötüken successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Necmi Ötüken was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Ponirin Sarwono capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ponirin Sarwono really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After 59 minutes, Cengiz Yalap mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 808Watt and the Sparta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Necmi Ötüken stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ponirin Sarwono's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Necmi Ötüken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ponirin Sarwono in the 69th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Ponirin Sarwono cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Necmi Ötüken was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to 808Watt getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Gazanfer Balatekin hit a great ball. 0-6 became the score in the 87th minute when Ponirin Sarwono elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Necmi Ötüken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ponirin Sarwono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ponirin Sarwono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ponirin Sarwono in the 96th minute of play forced 808Watt's goalkeeper Necmi Ötüken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Sparta FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sparta FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
