Ruquense FC's Romulo Gelacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toro Martínez in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toro Martínez in the 14th minute of play forced Ruquense FC's goalkeeper Romulo Gelacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ruquense FC booed when Despidida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toro Martínez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee gave Despidida AFC a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Toro Martínez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ruquense FC's Romulo Gelacio. 1-4. After the first half Despidida AFC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toro Martínez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Ancho Branca could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Romulo Gelacio however easily saved by the left post. 55 minutes into the game, Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romulo Gelacio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Despidida AFC's Szymon Pyrzyce was substituted for Arturo Arano. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Czeslaw Kopacz replaced Ancho Branca. After a rather tough play, Despidida AFC's Arturo Arano got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 72 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Velasco came free, but Romulo Gelacio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Basilio Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruquense FC's Romulo Gelacio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Ruquense FC from getting a goal against them. Emiliano Velasco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Romulo Gelacio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Czeslaw Kopacz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despidida AFC were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Ruquense FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Justino Elequemedo took the corner. A hard shot 90 in the game by Emiliano Velasco from a close distance when the talented Romulo Gelacio managed to make a qualified save. Ruquense FC's players were relieved. Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goalkeeper Romulo Gelacio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emiliano Velasco. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Michael Corleone hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Despidida AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
