The audience was convinced that Eriberto Berger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sepp Mainville was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Herz in the 26th minute of play. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Berger in the 27th minute of play. When Jonas Herz fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zelg FC's protests and gave Jonas Herz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when Zelg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephan Eichenberger didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Zelg FC's Gilles Clerc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pipis Karapatakis in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sepp Mainville saved Zelg FC from getting behind. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Herz in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Zelg FC's Jan Giacomozzi got a free kick in the 55th minute. Pipis Karapatakis took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sepp Mainville. Sepp Mainville dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
