In the 2nd minute, one of CD Municipal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CD Municipal. CD Municipal:s George Forsyth showed great skill when he stopped Igor Tartalo:s penalty. Franja Dorada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Igor Tartalo in the 6th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of CD Municipal's goalie and right to Silverio Jacob. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. CD Municipal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After some careless play in the CD Municipal defense, Silverio Jacob kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Forsyth. The CD Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Forsyth should have stopped the shot. George Forsyth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bülent Ruge in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Iacob Roman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 27th minute of play forced Franja Dorada's goalkeeper Valentin Licerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Cassaretto scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valentin Licerio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentin Licerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silverio Jacob got free with George Forsyth in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute Bülent Ruge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Licerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tulio Andinyach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute of the match, Bülent Ruge got a very nice opportunity to score, but George Forsyth was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, CD Municipal's George Forsyth got control of the ball when Silverio Jacob tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valentin Licerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Cassaretto's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Franja Dorada's goalkeeper Valentin Licerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Enrique Cassaretto made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Tartalo came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes in the game, Tulio Andinyach fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Valentin Licerio having to interfere. CD Municipal made a substitution. Oalo Dean replaced Zlatan Molina. CD Municipal's Peter Haber was substituted for Tulio Andinyach. In the 66th minute, Igor Tartalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Peter Haber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Municipal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Haber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franja Dorada's Valentin Licerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Franja Dorada from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute, Benigno Rito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valentin Licerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 83rd minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, CD Municipal's Oalo Dean nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentin Licerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Aureliano Buendia got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Enrique Cassaretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
