After having played for 5 minutes, Pipis Karapatakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio FBPA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pipis Karapatakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pipis Karapatakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pipis Karapatakis took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Lorenz. Donato Lorenz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Granate's goal looked a bit too open when Pipis Karapatakis came free, but Donato Lorenz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pipis Karapatakis in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Lorenz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute of the match, Luisito Estevon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jardel Sanches saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Christos Triantafyllou in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jardel Sanches, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaakko Ramstadius in the 24th minute of play. Grêmio FBPA were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Granate's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Estevon took the corner. Grêmio FBPA's Alberto Estevon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Donato Lorenz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Pipis Karapatakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisito Estevon hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Donato Lorenz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Granate's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alberto Estevon was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio FBPA's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Alberto Estevon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donato Lorenz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pipis Karapatakis to strike the kick off in the second half. Pipis Karapatakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Lorenz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Jardel Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christos Triantafyllou, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Eriberto Olando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 58th minute of play forced Granate's goalkeeper Donato Lorenz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Grêmio FBPA's Filiph Biörling to fire away a dangerous shot which Donato Lorenz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Grêmio FBPA's Kaká Rot got a free kick in the 66th minute. Donato Lorenz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 71 minutes Granate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Estevon who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Granate's goalie and right to Diamantino Cabral. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Granate's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Granate's Donato Lorenz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Granate from getting a goal against them. Pipis Karapatakis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Donato Lorenz came out and tried to block the shot, but Pipis Karapatakis slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Lorenz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 80 minutes Granate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Estevon who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Grêmio FBPA's corner Pipis Karapatakis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Donato Lorenz quite easily take care of the ball. Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Euloxu in the 85th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eriberto Berger in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Lorenz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eriberto Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Lorenz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisito Estevon in the 95th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Grêmio FBPA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
