The audience was convinced that Aquilino Luke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Licerio was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. When Angel Bessone fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Franja Dorada's protests and gave Angel Bessone a yellow card for diving instead. 43 minutes into the game, one of Franja Dorada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Freddie Ljungberg shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Igor Tartalo scored 1-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastián Torrico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentin Licerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julien Million, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Licerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bianco Cherubini's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 92 minutes of play, Franja Dorada's Leonardo Paio made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastián Torrico was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sebastián Torrico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Paio in the 95th minute of play. Franja Dorada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Igor Tartalo in the 97th minute. Franja Dorada were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of C.F.Fuenlabrada for a fine match.
