After having played for 17 minutes, Deng Feng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deng Feng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorrin Briones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jardel Sanches having to make a save. In the 31st minute, Jorrin Briones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But to his dismay, Jorrin Briones quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ferenc Tököli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Hoogenkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 38 in the game by Jorrin Briones from a close distance when the talented Jardel Sanches managed to make a qualified save. Grêmio FBPA's players were relieved. Jardel Sanches stood somewhat misplaced when Jorrin Briones came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 44 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After 51 minutes, Jorrin Briones made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jorrin Briones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Jerrold Taranco was substituted for Luís Paulo da Fonseca. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Salah in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jardel Sanches saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. The supporters of Rapsodas Red Devils FC booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darío Pereyra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jardel Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Salah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Salah scored 4-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jardel Sanches, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jardel Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Salah in the 90th minute of the match. In the 95thth minute of the game Jerrold Taranco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
