Franja Dorada's Valentin Licerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Franja Dorada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Bessone to maneuver through the defense. After 10 played minutes, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Gianluca Althenn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valentin Licerio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rot-Weiss-Essen reached it. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Jacob came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Maximilian Henning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Licerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. August Hoffmanns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Jacob, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Maximilian Henning hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Silverio Jacob left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Franja Dorada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Hoffmanns should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Silverio Jacob kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving August Hoffmanns. That made the score 0-7 in the 80 minute of play. After 83 minutes, Silverio Jacob made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. August Hoffmanns was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Igor Tartalo. The supporters of Franja Dorada booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakem Al Khames didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute of the match, Anastasio Karlo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but August Hoffmanns saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 89 minutes, Silverio Jacob made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. August Hoffmanns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silverio Jacob in the 93rd minute. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Mevlüt Vurgun got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
