In the 5th minute of the match Grêmio FBPA got a corner. Zelg FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filiph Biörling ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Filiph Biörling almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville did a great save. Sepp Mainville stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filiph Biörling's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 13thth minute of the game Jonas Herz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gilles Clerc in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jardel Sanches, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sepp Mainville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 18th minute of play forced Zelg FC's goalkeeper Sepp Mainville to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sepp Mainville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filiph Biörling in the 18th minute of play. Sepp Mainville stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filiph Biörling's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Hoogenkamp in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute Ted Hoogenkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sepp Mainville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jonas Herz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sepp Mainville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiph Biörling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filiph Biörling was the one to do the kick off. Zelg FC's Jan Giacomozzi quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Diamantino Cabral, made in the 53rd minute of the game. Filiph Biörling's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Sepp Mainville skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zelg FC's Sepp Mainville proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Zelg FC from getting a goal against them. Jonas Herz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jardel Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A well-hit corner resulted in Serge Tomasini heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.
