Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting a goal against them. Romelu Lukaku blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without August Hoffmanns having to make a save. Romelu Lukaku had several of the Rot-Weiss-Essen's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romelu Lukaku in the 36th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romelu Lukaku stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romelu Lukaku couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Palloketut booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif-Eric Albrecht didn't get a good kick on the ball.
