Roberto Eztebe came out of the goal and Toro Martínez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Aureliano Karlo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Selatse. Despidida AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aureliano Karlo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aureliano Karlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Karlo in the 33rd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Toro Martínez made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Eztebe. AFC FUSION's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 45 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Toro Martínez came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match Despidida AFC got a corner. AFC FUSION's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mieszko Dabrowski ran over to the corner to take the kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toro Martínez made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Gabriel Diaz in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Despidida AFC's Mieszko Dabrowski. In the 56thth minute of the game Aureliano Karlo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Mieszko Dabrowski hit a great ball. Despidida AFC's Czeslaw Kopacz was substituted for Ancho Branca. Despidida AFC's Pastor Tino was substituted for Arturo Arano. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Emiliano Velasco replaced Toro Martínez. Mieszko Dabrowski hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Despidida AFC's Oliver Rizzo got a free kick in the 61st minute. Roberto Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Tino, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Aureliano Karlo took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Fernando Selatse to make any attempt to save it. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Velasco in the 72nd minute of play. Dawid Beckham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Selatse having to interfere. In the 84th minute Czeslaw Kopacz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Velasco came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Velasco in the 87th minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Velasco in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the Despidida AFC defense, Aureliano Karlo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Selatse. The Despidida AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Selatse should have stopped the shot. AFC FUSION's Christoff Stocks was substituted for Mario Sesuldo. AFC FUSION's Julien Staffelbach was substituted for Aureliano Karlo. The AFC FUSION supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFC FUSION would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
