He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Berreta FC reached it. Alberdi FC's Florentino Ulizes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Alberdi FC from getting a goal against them. Berreta FC's Salvador Ermengol got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salvador Ermengol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Florentino Ulizes made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Silverio Lizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Silverio Lizar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Florentino Ulizes, 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Alberdi FC's Florentino Ulizes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Azibar in the 71st minute of play. If Salvador Ermengol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
