Saul Nesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Marques in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 3rd minute, Mauro Llorian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 4 minutes into the match, ALEXANDRIA's goalkeeper Godfredo Obano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvio Louis. In the 12th minute Cipriano Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Nesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Nesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Itzaina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saul Nesto came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by ALEXANDRIA's Gervasio Chorache. But to his dismay, Gervasio Chorache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Elvio Louis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Godfredo Obano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saul Nesto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Chorache, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Orozco in the 29th minute of play forced Gep FC's goalkeeper Saul Nesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Franco Orozco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saul Nesto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ALEXANDRIA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Feliciano Itzaina in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Gep FC's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Itzaina came free, but Saul Nesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ALEXANDRIA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Feliciano Itzaina in the 42nd minute. Saul Nesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Chorache in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Chorache in the 45th minute of play forced Gep FC's goalkeeper Saul Nesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Franco Orozco made the kick off in the second half. Godfredo Obano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the game, Geoffrey Verhelst was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ALEXANDRIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gep FC the free kick. After 53 played minutes ALEXANDRIA got a freekick which was hit by Geoffrey Verhelst. In the 55th minute Malin Karolev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Obano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Nesto made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Gervasio Chorache sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th match minute, ALEXANDRIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Chorache to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Louis in the 60th minute of play forced ALEXANDRIA's goalkeeper Godfredo Obano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franco Orozco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Saul Nesto made a huge save. 64 minutes into the match, Gep FC's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Itzaina came free, but Saul Nesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfredo Obano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Louis in the 67th minute of play. ALEXANDRIA's Godfredo Obano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malin Karolev in the 68th minute of play. ALEXANDRIA made a substitution. Zeledon Salvino replaced Marciano Rocio. ALEXANDRIA's Frits Pandiangan was substituted for Geoffrey Verhelst. Enrique Ilazki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Saul Nesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Feliciano Itzaina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gep FC's Saul Nesto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Godfredo Obano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malin Karolev in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Feliciano Itzaina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malin Karolev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inocencio Lizardi kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match, Feliciano Itzaina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saul Nesto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of ALEXANDRIA booed when Gep FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Romo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeledon Salvino struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Saul Nesto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ALEXANDRIA. The ALEXANDRIA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ALEXANDRIA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
