The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A sloppy throw-in by Godofredo Gaztea in the 2nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by EL FORTIN's Heigo Hirv. Ernesto Chinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Rojelio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Chinto ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of EL FORTIN booed when Caprichosos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Gaztea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Chinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elias Rojelio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Ernesto Chinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Rojelio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Chinto ran back to his position shaking his head. Caprichosos FC's Elias Rojelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Chinto in the 16th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filiberto Bermudo in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Fero saved EL FORTIN from getting behind. Ernesto Chinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caprichosos FC's Elias Rojelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Chinto in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Caprichosos FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jeremias Ferrando hit a great ball. Ernesto Chinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Elias Rojelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Rojelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Chinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Ernesto Chinto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Elias Rojelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cornelius Stormo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Ernesto Chinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filiberto Bermudo to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Caprichosos FC's Godofredo Gaztea got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A collision led to EL FORTIN getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Heigo Hirv hit a great ball. The throw-in from Godofredo Gaztea in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by EL FORTIN's Saverio Daunte. Manuel Dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Rojelio having to interfere. Ernesto Chinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Elias Rojelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of EL FORTIN booed when Caprichosos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yüce Vecdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Caprichosos FC's zone, Ernesto Chinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Rojelio came out of the goal and Ernesto Chinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. EL FORTIN's Armando Fero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save EL FORTIN from getting a goal against them. EL FORTIN's Heigo Hirv got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Filiberto Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Fero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. EL FORTIN's Armando Fero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Ferrando in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ernesto Chinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL FORTIN's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Chinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Rojelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The EL FORTIN fans cheered their team off the field, for while Caprichosos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
