Osvaldo Daunte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Froila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, Caroya Forever's goalkeeper Amado Blasco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Gaxan. Amado Blasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Francesco in the 10th minute of play. Flavio Federigo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso got a free kick in the 16th minute. Hannibal Smith hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Characate FC's Emre Can got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If José San Martín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zacarias Francesco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Amado Blasco made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Froila came free, but Osvaldo Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Gaxan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Amado Blasco made a huge save. Nestor Gaxan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caroya Forever's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Zacarias Francesco scored to the left of an out of position Amado Blasco, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Caroya Forever booed when Characate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rashid Paddington didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zacarias Francesco was the one to do the kick off. Amado Blasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Francesco in the 50th minute of play. In the 52nd minute Characate FC were awarded a corner. Emre Can went to the cornerflag to take it. Leopoldo Afonso made a great header on Characate FC's corner, it was just that Caroya Forever's Amado Blasco managed to reach the ball for a save. 55 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Perrando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caroya Forever's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Characate FC the free kick. Amado Blasco came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Characate FC's Zacarias Francesco. But to his dismay, Zacarias Francesco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Leopoldo Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Amado Blasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amado Blasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Caroya Forever's Juan Chago in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Characate FC's goalie prevented a goal. 73 minutes into the game, Characate FC's Gerardo Santikurtz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amado Blasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Characate FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emre Can in the 78th minute. Characate FC's Emre Can was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amado Blasco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caroya Forever's goalkeeper Amado Blasco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerardo Santikurtz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Blasco having to interfere. Amado Blasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Afonso in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Leopoldo Afonso made a precise shot to the right of Amado Blasco. Caroya Forever's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Leopoldo Afonso struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Amado Blasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Characate FC. There was no doubt that Characate FC were the better team. Characate FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
