Emre Can was slow to take the kick. During this time Characate FC's players had a chance to rest. Characate FC's Emre Can was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hugo Ibar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 15 minutes into the match, Characate FC's Zacarias Francesco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Ibar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Daunte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aleksander Fafinski. In the 18th minute of the match Caroya Forever got a corner. Characate FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hannibal Smith ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Caroya Forever's Bernardo Corderro got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, José San Martín reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osvaldo Daunte. The goal made the score 1-0. A collision led to Caroya Forever getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jonathan Erroman hit a great ball. Hugo Ibar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emre Can in the 24th minute of the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Gerardo Santikurtz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Characate FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Santikurtz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Batı Tomurcuk came free, but Osvaldo Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Zacarias Francesco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Hugo Ibar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacarias Francesco's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Zacarias Francesco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Ibar was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Caroya Forever's Hugo Ibar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Caroya Forever from getting a goal against them. The Characate FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Characate FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
