But to his dismay, Sergey Charnikovich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Niceto Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Santio, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Nuevo Horizonte's Nemesio Meder got a free kick in the 9th minute. Niceto Virila came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Tigre's Adolfo Santio. But to his dismay, Adolfo Santio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Niceto Virila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Santio in the 16th minute of the match. Adolfo Santio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Niceto Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Adolfo Santio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niceto Virila was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Osvaldo Geofredo scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niceto Virila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 28 minutes of play, Tigre's Osvaldo Geofredo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niceto Virila was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th minute, Osvaldo Geofredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niceto Virila was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The supporters of Tigre booed when Nuevo Horizonte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Transito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niceto Virila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Geofredo in the 40th minute of the match. Tigre's Vicente Eyague proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Tigre from getting a goal against them. Osvaldo Geofredo scored 0-6 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niceto Virila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Tigre booed when Nuevo Horizonte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Amato didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tigre's Osvaldo Geofredo in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nuevo Horizonte's goalie prevented a goal. In the 59th minute, Nemesio Meder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Tigre's Alto Monø sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niceto Virila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Geofredo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Niceto Virila. Osvaldo Geofredo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Tigre made a substitution. Leonel Iratzeder replaced Alto Monø. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Niceto Virila successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Niceto Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergey Charnikovich in the 70th minute of play. Baldomero Lapurdi hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Niceto Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Cachorro, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorge Cachorro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niceto Virila. That made the score 0-8 in the 84 minute of play. Angel Oliviero hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Nuevo Horizonte's Honorio Aztore tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Nuevo Horizonte booed when Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Belarmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Tigre left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nuevo Horizonte.
