The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Calçada in the 22nd minute of play. Cristian Bold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Angelo Ugutz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Países Bajos's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Calçada came free, but Angelo Ugutz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Artaldo in the 29th minute of play forced Weber Bahía Basket's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Orlando Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Oskar Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Países Bajos got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Peixoto. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilson Calçada to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes Países Bajos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Patricio Lehen who took care of the corner kick. Países Bajos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dalmacio Tebaldo in the 55th minute. The corner ended in Dalmacio Tebaldo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Weber Bahía Basket's Per-Oskar Forsberg did a great save. Timos Kavourakis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Per-Oskar Forsberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Timos Kavourakis slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 80th minute. Orlando Peixoto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Per-Oskar Forsberg made a huge save. In the 84th match minute, Países Bajos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hieronim Zagrobelny to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Wilson Calçada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Ugutz was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 87th minute, Urbano Ricart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Weber Bahía Basket's Vinícius Junior was substituted for Urbano Ricart. The supporters of Países Bajos booed when Weber Bahía Basket was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hieronim Wasikowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Weber Bahía Basket's Per-Oskar Forsberg got control of the ball when Dalmacio Tebaldo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
