The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Torjus Rønneberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 4 minutes into the match, Rocky Balboa F.C.'s goalkeeper Marco Veto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Vitin. After a rather tough play, Rocamora AFC's Pascual Abascal got a free kick in the 5th minute. Per-Filip Hansen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Marco Veto made a huge save. If Olgierd Jazwiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venancio Arnas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Jazwiec in the 15th minute of play. Marco Veto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Filip Hansen in the 18th minute. Per-Filip Hansen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Marco Veto made a huge save. Venancio Arnas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venancio Arnas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Furlan in the 29th minute of play. Marco Veto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaqub Cämilov in the 37th minute of the match. Venancio Arnas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olgierd Jazwiec went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Rocky Balboa F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per-Filip Hansen made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carolo Goito got free with Venancio Arnas in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Veto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dong Wen, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Rocky Balboa F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dong Wen came free, but Marco Veto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rocky Balboa F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilfredo Vitin was slow to take the kick. During this time Rocamora AFC's players had a chance to rest. 58 minutes into the match, Dong Wen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Veto. Rocky Balboa F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dong Wen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Yaqub Cämilov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rocky Balboa F.C.'s Dionisio Rosalio was substituted for Carolo Goito. In the 69th minute, Wilfredo Vitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sergio Arnalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Yaqub Cämilov came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Rocamora AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yaqub Cämilov couldn't finish the play. Venancio Arnas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 93rd minute Yaqub Cämilov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Veto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Arnalt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Rocky Balboa F.C. players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Rocamora AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
