After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Eugenio Tiso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Medellín AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Tiso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Jatsu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Medellín AFC's Martin Gabon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Primo in the 15th minute of play. Martin Gabon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alek Ploskov, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th match minute, Medellín AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Tiso to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Alek Ploskov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Gabon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Alek Ploskov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo avellaneda's supporters rose to their feet, but Alek Ploskov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Gabon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Deportivo avellaneda's Zacarias Jatsu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo avellaneda from getting a goal against them. Zacarias Jatsu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medellín AFC. After some careless play in the Medellín AFC defense, Alek Ploskov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Gabon. The Medellín AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Gabon should have stopped the shot. The Medellín AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Deportivo avellaneda were winning 1-6.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elpidio Henry to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo avellaneda's Joaquin Ioritz got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Eugenio Tiso managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alek Ploskov during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alek Ploskov hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Paulino Eduino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Martin Gabon made a huge save. Mario Illart made in the 71st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ezequiel Urdin. After 72 played minutes Club Deportivo avellaneda got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Ioritz. Medellín AFC's Elpidio Henry got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Melchor Fidensio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zacarias Jatsu was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Elpidio Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Gabon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Eduino in the 80th minute. Martin Gabon made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Paulino Eduino sent off a good shot on target. Medellín AFC's Martin Gabon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Medellín AFC from getting a goal against them. Martin Gabon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alek Ploskov in the 89th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Paulino Eduino could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Martin Gabon however easily saved by the left post. Martin Gabon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Eduino went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-9 was the resulting score. Martin Gabon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alek Ploskov in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Club Deportivo avellaneda left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Medellín AFC.
