Serafino Froylan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Pagomari in the 2nd minute of play. Anastasio Pagomari took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Froylan. Serafino Froylan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 23rd minute, Dalmacio Gabirel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Lorenzo de Laferrere's Karol Fila got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Laferrere's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Abajas came free, but Serafino Froylan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Maximo Ishmael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DyJ Campeón Sudamericana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Ishmael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Urtats's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo de Laferrere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Urtats helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, DyJ Campeón Sudamericana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Urtats to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Abajas to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Fabricio Barto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Serafino Froylan. The goal made the score 2-3. 63 minutes into the match, Fabricio Barto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafino Froylan. San Lorenzo de Laferrere's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabricio Barto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Tomasz Marciewicz hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Joaquin George notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of San Lorenzo de Laferrere's Serafino Froylan. Serafino Froylan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
