Hauge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmílson Veloso was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmílson Veloso. Napoleón 2018's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Saturnino Johans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo having to interfere. In the 31st minute Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmílson Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Oliverios took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmílson Veloso. Edmílson Veloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jero Rivera got free with Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmílson Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Boni, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Lisandro Vitin kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jero Rivera in the 47th minute of play. Napoleón 2018 were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Esteco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gregorio Garoa took the corner. Gregorio Garoa made a great header on Napoleón 2018's corner, it was just that Esteco's Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo managed to reach the ball for a save. After the first half Esteco were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saturnino Johans made a kick off. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteco made a substitution. Daniel Onega replaced Norberto-Osvaldo Alonso. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Esteco walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
