Vamo A Calmarno's Bart Basson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Villate in the 21st minute of play. Vincente Ziguenza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Rainerio in the 23rd minute of the match. Damian Ibon charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Vincente Ziguenza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asko Kukkamäki, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Justino Rainerio got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Vincente Ziguenza handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 42 played minutes, Vamo A Calmarno's Blas Abella shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vincente Ziguenza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vamo A Calmarno reached it. The audience was convinced that Olov Siggman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bart Basson was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Venancio Carretero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Venancio Carretero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Vincente Ziguenza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 85th minute Alvaro Cordarrol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincente Ziguenza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
