The audience thought a goal was coming when Ainar Põld got free with Vincente Ziguenza in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Ximenes Castilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vincente Ziguenza was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Vincente Ziguenza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximenes Castilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Olov Siggman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Independiente's Ximenes Castilla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vincente Ziguenza. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. Vincente Ziguenza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sören Bengtsson in the 34th minute. Vincente Ziguenza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximenes Castilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The supporters of Fraga Fútbol Club booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ainar Põld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquiles Sotil hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Emánuel Borsó managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emánuel Borsó was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Fraga Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Emánuel Borsó came free, but Vincente Ziguenza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emánuel Borsó scored 8-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincente Ziguenza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Independiente were the better team. Independiente's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
