Juan Manuel Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonatan Che. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Manuel Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. After 84 minutes, Sebastián Méndez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Azulgranas AFC and the Villa Klara SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 84 minutes into the game, one of Azulgranas AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bonifacio Senon had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Gerardo Bonifaco's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
