Clemente Benvido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Lekberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Aristides Villanueva succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. In the 15th of the match, Ricky Kalischer tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Tipi Calderon got in the way and made a wonderful save. 18 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Kalischer came free, but Tipi Calderon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Club Atletico Los Andes booed when Canalla Fuego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Rosini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32ndth minute of the game Kim Lekberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canalla Fuego's Clemente Benvido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Kim Lekberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Clemente Benvido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 38 minutes into the match, Kim Lekberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clemente Benvido. Canalla Fuego's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Lekberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After having played for 41 minutes, Kim Lekberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Los Andes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kim Lekberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute of the match Gervasio Hitz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clemente Benvido skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Canalla Fuego made a substitution. Carlos Aimar replaced Aristides Villanueva. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Kim Lekberg took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Clemente Benvido to make any attempt to save it. Canalla Fuego's Clemente Benvido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Canalla Fuego from getting a goal against them. Kim Lekberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Clemente Benvido made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kim Lekberg got free with Clemente Benvido in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kim Lekberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Clemente Benvido came out and tried to block the shot, but Kim Lekberg slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 71st minute. Tipi Calderon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Kalischer in the 76th minute of play. Club Atletico Los Andes's Fabio Peli was substituted for Donald Trump. Club Atletico Los Andes made a substitution. Eusebio Cordarrel replaced Tomáš Lamačka. Club Atletico Los Andes's Kaj Skager was substituted for Kim Lekberg. The corner led Club Atletico Los Andes's Orlando Inautzi to fire away a dangerous shot which Clemente Benvido despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 84th minute, Kaj Skager reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Clemente Benvido. The goal made the score 2-6. Kaj Skager blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemente Benvido having to make a save. Clemente Benvido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaj Skager in the 91st minute. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-8 when Kaj Skager sped through Canalla Fuego's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clemente Benvido. The Club Atletico Los Andes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Atletico Los Andes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
