Alex Landfred made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 24th minute Aristides Villanueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Landfred saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Canalla Fuego were awarded a corner. Diguinho Paraíba went to the cornerflag to take it. Alex Landfred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Marquez in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Canalla Fuego's Ricky Kalischer made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Landfred was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Villanueva in the 37th minute of play forced FERRO SALTA's goalkeeper Alex Landfred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FERRO SALTA getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Elvio Eneko hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Canalla Fuego made a substitution. Carlos Aimar replaced Aristides Villanueva. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricky Kalischer to strike the kick off in the second half. Alex Landfred showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricky Kalischer in the 58th minute of the match. FERRO SALTA's Alex Landfred proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save FERRO SALTA from getting a goal against them. With his leg Alex Landfred managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Canalla Fuego's Carlos Aimar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carlos Aimar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Alex Landfred when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Ricky Kalischer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Landfred was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 67th minute of the match Canalla Fuego got a corner. FERRO SALTA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Carlos Aimar put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Alex Landfred. 85 minutes into the game, Canalla Fuego's Carlos Aimar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Landfred made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. When Canalla Fuego's Ricky Kalischer in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. FERRO SALTA's Alex Landfred played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Kalischer in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Canalla Fuego left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FERRO SALTA.
