Alfonso Froylan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Hustaz in the 12th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Atilano Medero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Natanael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atilano Medero's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Astor Natanael firmly grabbed it by the left post. CENTRAL SANTA CRUZ's Astor Natanael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Domeka in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Henrik Ryen got a free kick in the 21st minute. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfonso Froylan should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pastor Domeka made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Arnulfo Matai made a precise shot to the right of Astor Natanael. CENTRAL SANTA CRUZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Astor Natanael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Medero in the 62nd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, CENTRAL SANTA CRUZ's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Medero came free, but Astor Natanael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Arnulfo Matai got a free kick in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in CENTRAL SANTA CRUZ's zone, Arnulfo Matai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Natanael came out of the goal and Arnulfo Matai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matijs Van Impe charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matijs Van Impe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th minute, Matijs Van Impe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isak Malm hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Astor Natanael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Medero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes of play, Boca Juniors's Matijs Van Impe made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Astor Natanael was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute, Arnulfo Matai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Alfonso Froylan got control of the ball when Rolando Hustaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind CENTRAL SANTA CRUZ's goalkeeper Astor Natanael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There was no doubt that Boca Juniors were the better team. Boca Juniors's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
