Jano França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Efrain Hernandez in the 32nd minute of the match. Octavio Abeita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pereyra's Claudio Onbera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Vergaray in the 39th minute of play. Claudio Onbera made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Melchor Birjaio sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiburcio Vergaray to make the kick off. Claudio Onbera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
