Martin Abadia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Theodore in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Ara Simonyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Piratas FC's Martin Abadia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caner Parshan in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Los Piratas FC booed when KIRICOCHO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Los Piratas FC's Martin Abadia got control of the ball when Facundo Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Abadia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, KIRICOCHO FC's Arnel Pansoy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Abadia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Torres in the 41st minute of play forced Los Piratas FC's goalkeeper Martin Abadia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match KIRICOCHO FC got a corner. Los Piratas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arnel Pansoy ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led KIRICOCHO FC's Ernesto Theodore to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Abadia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in KIRICOCHO FC's zone, Candido Ospin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Errando came out of the goal and Candido Ospin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Los Piratas FC's Martin Abadia got control of the ball when Facundo Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute, Candido Ospin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Facundo Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Galsino in the 50th minute of play forced Los Piratas FC's goalkeeper Martin Abadia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lázaro Galsino in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Abadia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KIRICOCHO FC's Lázaro Galsino got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Abadia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caner Parshan, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Candido Ospin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Errando having to interfere. Caner Parshan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Abadia having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
