An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorvald Egfjord in the 67th minute of play forced Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Marcos Ranolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thorvald Egfjord in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Ranolfo saved Estudiantes de América from getting behind. 68 minutes into the game, Ciro Pirro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Brujas KV's Esteban Eleazar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Brujas KV's Adolfo Grau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Blăniță in the 70th minute of play. Marcos Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thorvald Egfjord, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
