Patagonia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Faro should have stopped the shot. Tobias Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Hohenzollern in the 18th minute of play. Tobias Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Ortzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anier Terciero got free with Johnny Gobillot in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute Ferdinand Hohenzollern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Ortzi struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Tobias Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Gallo de Moron. The Social y Dep. Patagonia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Gallo de Moron were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferdinand Hohenzollern to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Joel Francis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Gallo de Moron's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Social y Dep. Patagonia the free kick. After 56 played minutes El Gallo de Moron got a freekick which was hit by Joel Francis. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Gallo de Moron's goalkeeper Johnny Gobillot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johnny Gobillot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Mac Clure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 62 minutes, Fidel Ortzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Gallo de Moron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidel Ortzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. El Gallo de Moron made a substitution. Austin Estruch replaced Rios Ferdinand. Anier Terciero hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Mauricio Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Gobillot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute Social y Dep.
