Bonifacio Mazuste might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teobaldo Libertad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bonifacio Mazuste ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bonifacio Mazuste in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teobaldo Libertad saved Iguazú fútbol club from getting behind. In the 41st minute of the match JERE F.C. got a corner. Iguazú fútbol club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carl Stormyr ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tobias Cucao kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 47th minute Jean Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Olave saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half JERE F.C. were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Modesto Bixintxo was the one to do the kick off.
