George Hagi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Santos Orlan. 1-0. Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Beat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeronimo Dantel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Desiderio Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. George Hagi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Orlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvador Hats was the one to do the kick off. Santos Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Inocente in the 52nd minute of the match. Valencia Santa Fe's Jeronimo Dantel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Valencia Santa Fe from getting a goal against them. Desiderio Brais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Dantel having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulrico Herzog in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Orlan saved El Fortín de Floresta from getting behind. In the 60th match minute, El Fortín de Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fulgencio Frances to maneuver through the defense. If George Hagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Salvador Hats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Jeronimo Dantel made a huge save. In the 67th minute El Fortín de Floresta were awarded a corner. Casimiro Policarpio went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Desiderio Brais got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeronimo Dantel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Inocente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Ulrico Herzog had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santos Orlan. El Fortín de Floresta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulrico Herzog was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. El Fortín de Floresta's Inocencio Lixandro was substituted for Cristo Orlan. Santos Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrico Herzog in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Inocente came free, but Santos Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Alvino Tinto suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 80 minutes into the game, George Hagi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valencia Santa Fe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Fortín de Floresta the free kick. After a rather tough play, Valencia Santa Fe's George Hagi got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Delmar Manex got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. El Fortín de Floresta's Santos Orlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Inocente in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to El Fortín de Floresta getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Salvador Hats hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Fortín de Floresta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Valencia Santa Fe.
