The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Arnas got free with Sergio Longhi in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Villa Castells defense, Eriberto Maiorga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciriaco Perutxo. The Villa Castells fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciriaco Perutxo should have stopped the shot. Sergio Longhi made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Roger Linhares sent off a good shot on target. When Hernan Diaz fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Longchamps club's protests and gave Hernan Diaz a yellow card for diving instead. Hernan Diaz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Eriberto Maiorga came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Longchamps club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Maiorga couldn't finish the play. After the first half Longchamps club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Villa Castells's Ciriaco Perutxo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Villa Castells from getting a goal against them. In the 62ndth minute of the game Eriberto Maiorga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Castells's Ciriaco Perutxo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cleto Dayam charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleto Dayam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
