Villa Mitre City's Honorato Demesio was substituted for Feliciano Fernendo. Villa Mitre City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Honorato Demesio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Centurión read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Clodoveo Jurgi took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ariel Ponc to make any attempt to save it. In the 59th minute, Ismael Maidana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
