Fergus León kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Jonas Tauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonso Suloaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Kanalla F.C's Alonso Suloaga got control of the ball when Jonas Tauro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Ofelio in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Fergus León hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Atlético Escocia's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Ofelio in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Escocia's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Ofelio came free, but Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Silverio Ofelio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kanalla F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Ofelio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute Marcelinho Carioca suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Fergus León fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Escocia's protests and gave Fergus León a yellow card for diving instead. Kanalla F.C made a substitution. Alonzo Gaitan replaced Marcelinho Carioca. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Escocia's zone, Silverio Ofelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri came out of the goal and Silverio Ofelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Club Atlético Escocia's Jonas Tauro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alonso Suloaga. Alonso Suloaga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 46 minutes into the match, Kanalla F.C's Silverio Ofelio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silverio Ofelio was the one to do the kick off. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri was a little too slow when Silverio Ofelio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-1. Club Atlético Escocia's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Ofelio in the 54th minute of play. Leonel Caponi scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alonso Suloaga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th match minute, Kanalla F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Cesaro to maneuver through the defense. Alonso Suloaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Tauro in the 81st minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Club Atlético Escocia got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Mikolas. Kanalla F.C's Incendio Aranda managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Venancio Mikolas in the 85 minute of the game. Club Atlético Escocia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
