The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, C.A. Línea Rotativa's Mehmed Paşa got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 7 minutes into the game, Amador Raymond recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anier Urtats. Amador Raymond showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 10th minute Astor Eguntsenti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Wiklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, C.A. Línea Rotativa's Astor Eguntsenti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Håkan Wiklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Anier Urtats made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Leonides Chago sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute RACINGUS were awarded a corner. Antonio Quinton went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of C.A. Línea Rotativa's goalie and right to Leonides Chago. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. C.A. Línea Rotativa's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The supporters of C.A. Línea Rotativa booed when RACINGUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Chago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anier Urtats came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by RACINGUS's Amador Raymond. But to his dismay, Amador Raymond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Gogo Tancredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonides Chago in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anier Urtats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antonio Quinton made a great header on RACINGUS's corner, it was just that C.A. Línea Rotativa's Anier Urtats managed to reach the ball for a save. German Emesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Urtats having to interfere. The supporters of RACINGUS booed when C.A. Línea Rotativa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Larra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes RACINGUS got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Hanni. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Astor Eguntsenti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Håkan Wiklund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Anier Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Chago, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Astor Eguntsenti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gogo Tancredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rolando Pasqual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Håkan Wiklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute of the match, Gogo Tancredo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Håkan Wiklund was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 90 minutes RACINGUS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mehmed Paşa who took care of the corner kick. Mehmed Paşa made a great header on C.A. Línea Rotativa's corner, it was just that RACINGUS's Håkan Wiklund managed to reach the ball for a save. Hernan Hanni charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernan Hanni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of C.A.
