Al-Femur FC's Hakan Ünsal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hernan Firme in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Unión y Progreso Tandil's zone, Hakan Ünsal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Firme came out of the goal and Hakan Ünsal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jesus Pepillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Unión y Progreso Tandil got a corner. Al-Femur FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Haroldo Berbiz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Rene Erlantz to score against Jesus Pepillo in Al-Femur FC's goal. 1-0 after 13 minutes. Hernan Firme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Román Riquelme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Román Riquelme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Firme having to interfere. Daniel Brun in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jesus Pepillo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jesus Pepillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Al-Femur FC's goalkeeper Jesus Pepillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgard Elixio. After a defensive mix-up in Unión y Progreso Tandil's zone, Joaquin Ponc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Firme came out of the goal and Joaquin Ponc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Al-Femur FC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Al-Femur FC's Román Riquelme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Unión y Progreso Tandil defense, Joaquin Ponc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernan Firme. The Unión y Progreso Tandil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernan Firme should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Román Riquelme was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Joaquin Ponc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Al-Femur FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquin Ponc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Firme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, Al-Femur FC's Román Riquelme dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Daniel Brun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesus Pepillo having to make a save. In the 63rd minute, Pang Xing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Al-Femur FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After 65 played minutes Unión y Progreso Tandil got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Elixio. Edgard Elixio hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Urbano Chuse was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 71 played minutes Unión y Progreso Tandil got a freekick which was hit by Rene Erlantz. Unión y Progreso Tandil made a substitution. Zeledon Bermudo replaced Edgard Elixio. The supporters of Al-Femur FC booed when Unión y Progreso Tandil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Erlantz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Firme was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Urbano Chuse capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Urbano Chuse really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. In the 74th minute, Nico Bertolo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Al-Femur FC's zone, Zeledon Bermudo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesus Pepillo came out of the goal and Zeledon Bermudo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Firme made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Urbano Chuse sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Barco during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Al-Femur FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Barco to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the game, Unión y Progreso Tandil's Cícero Moura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jesus Pepillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. Hernan Firme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Román Riquelme, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Although Unión y Progreso Tandil had been in control for most of the match, Al-Femur FC still came away with the win.
