After a rather tough play, Cangrejos AFC's Agustin Jorrin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Jeronimo Osmundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Celipe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeronimo Osmundo ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeronimo Osmundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Celipe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, WASD's goalkeeper Epifanio Kauldi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dênis Leite. Epifanio Kauldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernabe Aztore, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Cangrejos AFC booed when WASD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Bugaev didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Cai in the 45th minute of play forced WASD's goalkeeper Epifanio Kauldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, WASD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Arias to maneuver through the defense. Dênis Leite received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After having played for 90 minutes, Dênis Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cangrejos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dênis Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
