When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Urbano Ortega put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Angelo Gartzea. Virgilio Santikurtz took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Gilesindo. Rafael Gilesindo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 28 minutes into the game, Infierno Turko Ψ's Virgilio Santikurtz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Gilesindo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Mazuste in the 39th minute of play forced Locura Académica's goalkeeper Rafael Gilesindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Locura Académica's Urbano Ortega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Gartzea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Disappointed in the 2-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Mazuste made a kick off. Nemesio Onofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd match minute, Locura Académica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Ekeroth to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Infierno Turko Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Nyangnyang Rungkat came free, but Angelo Gartzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Infierno Turko Ψ's goalkeeper Angelo Gartzea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Sotero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Santikurtz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Rafael Gilesindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Locura Académica booed when Infierno Turko Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Romano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipolito Romano charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hipolito Romano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Locura Académica's Remus Pinches slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Angelo Gartzea. That made the score 2-6 after 77 minutes of play. In the 81st match minute, Infierno Turko Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Galtero to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Remus Pinches sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Infierno Turko Ψ's Angelo Gartzea didn't even have to move. After some careless play in the Infierno Turko Ψ defense, Urbano Ortega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Gartzea. The Infierno Turko Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Gartzea should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute, Nyangnyang Rungkat fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Angelo Gartzea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rafael Gilesindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Santikurtz in the 94th minute of play. Benjamin Emenon hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Locura Académica supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Locura Académica would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
