In the 8th minute, Alberto Cresencio made a precise shot to the right of Nereo Luzea. RIQUELME FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Alberto Cresencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Nereo Luzea made a huge save. With his leg Nereo Luzea managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Oberá's Alberto Cresencio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 16 minutes into the game, Astor Furman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIQUELME FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oberá the free kick. Astor Furman kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Alberto Cresencio took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nereo Luzea. Nereo Luzea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Andres Nesor hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Alberto Cresencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 28th minute Higinio Mundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damián Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Higinio Mundo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Damián Martínez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute of the game, Alberto Cresencio landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 33 minutes into the game, Diego Chepe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIQUELME FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oberá the free kick. Oberá's Melquiades Chorache was substituted for Alberto Cresencio. When Haroldo Guter came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Oberá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Guter couldn't finish the play. RIQUELME FC's Nereo Luzea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save RIQUELME FC from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Oberá's Angelino Quexal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Higinio Mundo made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Felipe Pelayo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Nereo Luzea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nereo Luzea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelino Quexal went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the game, Felipe Pelayo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-2. Nereo Luzea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in RIQUELME FC's zone, Felipe Pelayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Luzea came out of the goal and Felipe Pelayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 76 minutes of play, Oberá's Felipe Pelayo made it 9-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nereo Luzea was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Mundo got free with Damián Martínez in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute, Andres Nesor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oberá made a substitution. Severo Virila replaced Haroldo Guter. The supporters of Oberá booed when RIQUELME FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Nesor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Vincente charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Vincente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 played minutes RIQUELME FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Vincente. After some careless play in the RIQUELME FC defense, Felipe Pelayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nereo Luzea. The RIQUELME FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nereo Luzea should have stopped the shot. Nereo Luzea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Chorache, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute, Melquiades Chorache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nereo Luzea was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-2. Oberá's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
