Pegaso FC were furious when Teobaldo Duarte was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 16 minutes into the game, one of Pegaso FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Sabalero a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Honorio Stephen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pegaso FC's Imran Johnsson. 2-1. Sabalero's Emilio Bibiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Sabalero from getting a goal against them. Luisito Marino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Beti in the 26th minute of play forced Sabalero's goalkeeper Emilio Bibiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Bibiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patricio Sagulin in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Pegaso FC were awarded a corner. Marco Nocedo went to the cornerflag to take it. Sabalero's Emilio Bibiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Sabalero from getting a goal against them. Marco Nocedo came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emilio Bibiano could save by the left post. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute Pegaso FC were awarded a corner. Marco Nocedo went to the cornerflag to take it. Marco Nocedo made a great header on Pegaso FC's corner, it was just that Sabalero's Emilio Bibiano managed to reach the ball for a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisito Marino to make the kick off. Patricio Sagulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Bibiano having to interfere. Emilio Bibiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Beti in the 55th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Imran Johnsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pegaso FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Honorio Stephen was slow to take the kick. During this time Sabalero's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Sagulin in the 62nd minute of play forced Sabalero's goalkeeper Emilio Bibiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orlando Beti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pegaso FC's Juan Matos was substituted for Orlando Beti. Roman Jacob fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Imran Johnsson having to interfere. The supporters of Pegaso FC booed when Sabalero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Abad didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Sabalero were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Pegaso FC side.
