Emiliano Claude took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Abadia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute Fidel Joachim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Urre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Fidel Joachim made a precise shot to the right of Elpidio Urre. C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's goalkeeper Elpidio Urre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fidel Joachim. In the 19th minute, Osvaldo Abadia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to Pepomania getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gaston Aguilera hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match Joel Uxio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiliano Claude showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elpidio Urre made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Fidel Joachim sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute of the game Vicente Oinaz made a throw-in which Faustino Beat played forward. Fidel Baudelio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. Pepomania's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 36 minutes into the game, Fidel Joachim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elpidio Urre. Fidel Joachim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's zone, Fidel Baudelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Urre came out of the goal and Fidel Baudelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fidel Joachim in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elpidio Urre, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Bermudo to make the kick off. The supporters of Pepomania booed when C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Llorenc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Fidel Joachim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pepomania fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Pepomania's Ramiro Frantzes was substituted for Fidel Joachim. 63 minutes into the match, C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Lain came free, but Elpidio Urre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaston Aguilera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elpidio Urre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Ramiro Frantzes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Elpidio Urre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ramiro Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elpidio Urre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Frantzes, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Gaston Aguilera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes in the game Faustino Beat got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. If Ramiro Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Elpidio Urre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Frantzes in the 75th minute of the match. After some careless play in the C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz defense, Ramiro Frantzes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Urre. The C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Urre should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Aureliano Mambru notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's Elpidio Urre. Elpidio Urre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pepomania's Ramiro Frantzes got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Felipe Bermudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88th play minutes Ramiro Frantzes shot 7-1, a short shot which went by Elpidio Urre and just under the crossbar into goal. Ramiro Frantzes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pepomania.
