An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Berart in the 5th minute of play forced Sakura FC's goalkeeper Magne Jönsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of LiBeRiA F.C. booed when Sakura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Valentine didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Sakura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Berart came free, but Magne Jönsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sakura FC's zone, Mei Zhi Jian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magne Jönsson came out of the goal and Mei Zhi Jian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Alejo Berart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sakura FC's Magne Jönsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Magne Jönsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Sena in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Alejo Berart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magne Jönsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind LiBeRiA F.C.'s goalkeeper Tino Lumijärvi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Sakura FC were awarded a corner. Artemio Jakes went to the cornerflag to take it. LiBeRiA F.C.'s Tino Lumijärvi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dušan Vlahović in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Sakura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mei Zhi Jian came free, but Magne Jönsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LiBeRiA F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Dušan Vlahović scored to the left of an out of position Tino Lumijärvi, making the score, 1-0. Sakura FC's Astor Leoiar got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dušan Vlahović was the one to do the kick off. Tino Lumijärvi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dušan Vlahović in the 60th minute of play. Sakura FC's Magne Jönsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Sakura FC from getting a goal against them. Mei Zhi Jian came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Magne Jönsson could save by the left post. Sakura FC's Konrad Slazak was substituted for Astor Leoiar. Sakura FC's Edgard Barea was substituted for Fernan Herauso. In the 83rd minute, Genaro Gutxi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ariel Esquivel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute Ariel Esquivel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tino Lumijärvi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sylwester Petka kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Ariel Esquivel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Tino Lumijärvi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
