Ariel Venerando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Freddie Foley went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, Berutti FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu de Mendonça came free, but Bruno Macario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Sebastian Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Macario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 45 minutes into the match, Road To Glory's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Lobo came free, but Ariel Venerando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Berutti FC were awarded a corner. Vladislav Tzintzov went to the cornerflag to take it. Berutti FC's Vladislav Tzintzov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ariel Venerando in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gugu de Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Berutti FC's goalkeeper Bruno Macario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu de Mendonça. The corner led to Road To Glory's Ibo Cimillo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 85 played minutes Road To Glory got a freekick which was hit by Ibo Cimillo. When Gugu de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Road To Glory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Road To Glory eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
