Emiliano Gines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Hartz having to interfere. Rodrigo Ovando hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Primo during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Cordaryal in the 41st minute of play forced Freestyle futbol club's goalkeeper Miguel Dalmau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 minutes, Higinio Mateus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente Rivadavia and the Freestyle futbol club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Independiente Rivadavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Mateus to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Cesar Blackmon made the kick off in the second half. The Independiente Rivadavia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teo Hartz should have stopped the shot. In the 74th match minute, Independiente Rivadavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Ovando to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Independiente Rivadavia's Ramiro Cordaryal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Miguel Dalmau.
