The referee ignored Rumi FC's protests and gave Elpidio Fe a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rumi FC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Elpidio Fe hit a great ball. Fulgencio Karmel charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fulgencio Karmel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Hats in the 7th minute of play forced Rumi FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Otsoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvaro Otsoa made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Fulgencio Isidor sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Durazno FC booed when Rumi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Rumi FC's Alvaro Otsoa got control of the ball when Rodolfo Libertad tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Robustiano Hats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Rodolfo Libertad sped through Rumi FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alvaro Otsoa. 27 minutes into the match, Rumi FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Otsoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Libertad. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Romeo Hernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durazno FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Hernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Otsoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulgencio Isidor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remigio Evis came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alvaro Otsoa could save by the left post. 43 minutes into the match, Rumi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Hats came free, but Alvaro Otsoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Romeo Hernandez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alvaro Otsoa, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermengildo Lain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Rumi FC's zone, Romeo Hernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Otsoa came out of the goal and Romeo Hernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Romeo Hernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alvaro Otsoa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robustiano Hats went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 65th minute Higinio Eutor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Otsoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rumi FC's Alvaro Otsoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Hats in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Romeo Hernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Otsoa. Rumi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeo Hernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 73 minutes into the match, Romeo Hernandez notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Rumi FC's Alvaro Otsoa. Alvaro Otsoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Hernandez in the 76th minute of play forced Rumi FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Otsoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robustiano Hats kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Durazno FC booed when Rumi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Fe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Otsoa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romeo Hernandez went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Romeo Hernandez struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Alvaro Otsoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Durazno FC. After some careless play in the Rumi FC defense, Higinio Eutor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Otsoa. The Rumi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Otsoa should have stopped the shot. Fulgencio Karmel hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Alvaro Otsoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Isidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Otsoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Rodolfo Libertad struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Alvaro Otsoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Durazno FC. After 97 minutes of play Rumi FC's Elpidio Fe was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Elpidio Fe kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Alvaro Otsoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
