Spectators: 143 (Terracing: 108, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) In the 3rd minute, Karl Holmberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rumi FC's Alvaro Otsoa didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Pepillo in the 4th minute of play forced Rumi FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Otsoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Martin Palermo F.C.'s Tiburcio Pepillo in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rumi FC's goalie prevented a goal. Guillermo Izquierdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Alvaro Otsoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Otsoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Wallgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvaro Otsoa came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Martin Palermo F.C.'s Tiburcio Pepillo. But to his dismay, Tiburcio Pepillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alvaro Otsoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Arósio in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Tiburcio Pepillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Otsoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Rumi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Arósio came free, but Alvaro Otsoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giovanni Arósio in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Otsoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rumi FC's Alvaro Otsoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Pepillo in the 22nd minute of play. Alvaro Otsoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Arósio in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giovanni Arósio in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Otsoa saved Rumi FC from getting behind. A collision led to Martin Palermo F.C. getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Guillermo Izquierdo hit a great ball. When Martin Palermo F.C.'s Giovanni Arósio in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rumi FC's goalie prevented a goal. Alvaro Otsoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrico Giammarino in the 31st minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Giovanni Arósio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Otsoa. Rumi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giovanni Arósio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Alvaro Otsoa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guillermo Izquierdo's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Guillermo Izquierdo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Martin Palermo F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Izquierdo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvaro Otsoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Martin Palermo F.C. booed when Rumi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Fe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillermo Izquierdo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Otsoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fulgencio Torres during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Fulgencio Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Enrico Giammarino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvaro Otsoa. Rumi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrico Giammarino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After the first half Martin Palermo F.C. were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guillermo Izquierdo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Giovanni Arósio made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvaro Otsoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Giovanni Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Otsoa having to interfere. With a little luck, Rumi FC's Alvaro Otsoa got control of the ball when Karl Holmberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Robin Wallgren got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Tiburcio Pepillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Otsoa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrico Giammarino got free with Alvaro Otsoa in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiburcio Pepillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Otsoa made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Guillermo Izquierdo sent off a good shot on target. Alvaro Otsoa was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Giovanni Arósio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Giovanni Arósio really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Martin Palermo F.C.'s Serafin Manni was substituted for Karl Holmberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tiburcio Pepillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. That made the score 0-9 in the 88 minute of play. Giovanni Arósio might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvaro Otsoa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovanni Arósio ran back to his position shaking his head. Giovanni Arósio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Otsoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robin Wallgren got free with Alvaro Otsoa in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Alvaro Otsoa managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Martin Palermo F.C.'s Giovanni Arósio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Martin Palermo F.C. played a much better game than Rumi FC and deserved their victory. The Rumi FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
